A Look Behind The Lens
Meet Sarah Delanie
My passion for recording history began at the young age of twelve. I was a strong-willed, curious, and entrepreneurial-minded kid, who took a liking to light and wanted to do everything I could to capture it.
Hence, the camera came into play; however, I had no idea that a hobby would turn into a full-blown career, or that this small business would become such a visible reminder of God’s grace in my life.
I love simplicity. I believe in just the right amount of planning before a wedding day, but love the adventure of life which is saturated in spontaneity, and unpredictability.
My all-time favorite quote is from the English writer G.K. Chesterton, “An adventure is only an inconvenience rightly considered. An inconvenience is only an adventure wrongly considered.”
I promise you can rest assured that I will pose, direct, and guide you up to the point in which you no longer need me to – I promise it comes.
Just like all things in life, the new eventually becomes the norm, so while having a camera in your face might seem uncomfortable at first, it will not take long for you to feel like it isn’t even there.
My biggest goal in life is to become a professional listener. I want to be unbearably in-tune with reality, and an expert at creating and identifying beauty. I once heard a wise woman say, “Everyone is interesting – you just have to know how to ask the right questions.” And thus, my philosophy is born. I long to be an encouraging friend and a calming presence during this exciting and often overwhelming season of life. I promise to work beyond the bounds of your expectations, to provide a joyful experience, all while documenting timeless moments along the way.
My favorite title is wife and momma! I’ve been married to the love of my life for almost three years, and just welcomed our first baby girl into the world in the summer of 2022! Our fur baby, Josie, has been the best big sister! They bring more light into my life than I ever imagined possible.
I have a heart for nonprofit work, and donate 10% of all proceeds to local 501(c)3’s, so if there’s a specific mission you care deeply about, let me know. I’d love to donate in your honor!
I walked 500 miles from the border of France to the coast of Spain on the Santiago de Camino, which is where I first met my husband, so I lean on the extreme side of crazy, but as my dad always says, “it’s a calculated risk.”
I’m an enneagram 8w9, so you can rest assured I’ll protect your peace like my life depends on it, and like every other basic girl, yes, quality time at a coffee shop is my love language!
Jesus is my everything.
My husband and I host monthly book clubs, prayer meetings, and hangouts in Fort Worth, Texas. If you’re looking for friendships we are exclusively inclusive and LOVE cultivating relationships beyond our work. So no, you don’t have to book your wedding or family session with me to be friends! Come join our table full of strangers!
